UWHA and UW Labor Relations (LR) met for the twenty-ninth bargaining session on Tuesday, April 21st, hosted virtually. UWHA sent counter proposals in advance for Articles 6 and newly proposed XX/Miscellaneous. The state appointed mediator was in attendance.
Article 2 (Committees), UWHA updated language regarding committee representation for residents and fellows.
Article 6 (Fringe Benefits), UWHA accepted language pertaining to meals and decreased the relocation stipend ask to $300 per incoming intern. Currently, there is no relocation stipend.
Article 18 (Moonlighting), UWHA continues to include language in the proposal to memorialize policy and make moonlighting opportunities more accessible to residents in good standing.
Article XX (Miscellaneous/Union Activities), UWHA adjusted the organization of the article to more closely align the structure of the employer’s similar article. UWHA simplified and proposed new language in Section 5 regarding the use of personal emails.
