RFPU-NW and UW Labor Relations (UW) met for the fifth (virtual) bargaining session.
UW Counter Proposals:
Article 4, Disciplinary Action and Just Cause: UW proposed language stating that the employer will inform the employee about their right to representation. Additionally, they proposed language from current GME policy that says a focus of concern letter should include recommended actions to resolve teh issue, the resident may request the focus of concern documentation be removed from their program file after successful completion of remediation, and the program director will confirm with the resident that the letter have been removed or will explain why it has not.
Article 12, Leave – Holidays: UW accepted language stating that programs cannot code holidays as vacation and/or sick leave when the resident was not scheduled to work, and additionally proposed that programs have discretion to determine how and when vacation must be taken.
